Mesa Real EstateMesa is Arizona’s third largest city with a population of around 450,000; more than 2/3 of its residents are under 44.
Located just 12 miles southwest of Phoenix and bordering Tempe, Chandler and Gilbert, Mesa is home to a number of Fortune 500 companies. Major also become an increasingly important source of revenue. Mesa started 2004 with the highest number of home resales in the East Valley, a 19% increase over year-before sales. The city continues to grow to meet the demand, with new development spreading north and east.
Median home prices in early 2004 ranged from $125,000 in central Mesa, to $169,000 in eastern Mesa, to just under $200,000 further north. Neighborhoods/communities to explore in Mesa include Alta Mesa, Augusta Ranch,BoulderCreek, Boulder Mountain,Carriage Lane,Crismon Creek, Concord Village, Dana Ranch, Dobson Ranch,Dobson Woods,Dreamland Villa,Fountain of the Sun,Knoell East,Las Sendas,Leisure World, Lesueur Estates, Marlborough, Mesa Mesquite Canyon,Mountain Ranch, Parkwood Ranch, Rancho Del Mar, Red Mountain Ranch, Ridgeview, Saguaro Mountain,Santa Rita Ranch,Sierra Ranch,Sunland Springs VillageSunland Village,Sunland Village East,Suntree,Superstition Springs and The Groves, The city also maintains a number of historic districts. The oldest is West Second Street Historic District, where bungalows and brick homes dominate on streets that have citrus tree-lined medians. This area was home to Mesa’s leading families in the early 1900s.
The 1,100+ acre Red Mountain Park near the Superstition Mountains provides a range of recreational opportunities for residents and visitors – a soccer field, basketball court, ballfields, volleyball court and a walking trail. Red Mountain Park Lake is stocked with channel catfish, rainbow trout (in season), bluegill, sunfish, largemouth bass, carp, and white amur. |
